A dynamic leader with more than 17 years of athletics administration experience, Kirsten Elleby is Syracuse University's new Deputy Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator. Elleby joins the Orange after almost six years as associate athletics director for student-athlete enrichment and senior woman administrator at the University of New Orleans. She also brings experience from Atlantic Coast Conference member Wake Forest and Coppin State.

"Kirsten has tremendous experience and a track record of success in her career," said Director of Athletics John Wildhack. "Her familiarity with the ACC after nine years at Wake Forest, coupled with her broad range of responsibilities throughout her tenure, including management and advancement of academics, NCAA compliance, student-athlete development and serving as a sport administrator, will be a great resource for our staff and student-athletes."

At Syracuse, Elleby will serve as Chief Title IX Officer, represent Syracuse Athletics with her fellow ACC Senior Woman Administrators, and have specific sport oversight responsibilities, including women's basketball and additional sports to be determined.

Adjusting to life in CNY after spending time in New Orleans is going to be a challenge.

At least she is coming just as winter is leaving. That gives her time to adjust and prepare.

Welcome Kirsten. Yes, it always is this cold…..

Hopefully she has knowledge of some good young women's basketball coaches, who can recruit and coach. We need someone dynamic to compete in this conference.

My first thought also. Syracuse is a long way from New Orleans. Weather, food, vibe, etc. etc. etc.

Looks to be a good hire, just wondering why did it take 6 months to replace the old one?
