You need to compare them (White and Anthony) to their proper peers, not top 5 or top 10 freshman entering the season - yes those top 10 as a group are dominating this year more than in recent years. White was #28 and Anthony was #36 per ESPN Rankings. Here is the players from #26-#40 ranked by PPG. The high is 14 points per game across the 15 players.. #26-#40 ranked players are averaging 7.8 ppg (or about 8.5 ppg if I exclude the player that has not played all year). They are generally performing in that range.
