He actually does a fairly decent job against forwards in the mid post( not unlike his old man) as a defender and can hold his ground. He also needs coaching that push him to pay attention to the little details and coaching that gets the defense organized as a whole.

While it was part of a specific game plan, the drop defense GM used vs Duke was well executed and effective as they shut down the driving lanes while not getting too deep to be unable to close out on shooters. Between the fundamentals and a team defense that’s organized and avoids putting too many guys on an island- it could really help Kiyan a lot.
