"He’s 6’11″ and not a good shooter, but has taken 2.1 shots per game throughout his career from behind the arc, compared to only 3.6 attempts from inside it. He shot only 23.8 percent from three-point range last season, but still loves firing the long ball."
I had the impression that while he was at SU he was being coached to take jump shots. That team lacked shooters and he was hitting them at an acceptable rate, so JB gave him the green light. But he clearly sees himself as a shoot first. outside/in kind of player. Too bad because with his size and skills he just needs to develop an inside/out mentality like Durant has and he could be a very good scorer. I was expecting NBA coaches to have beaten that into his head by now. This guy could be lethal if he had any real drive. How many times do we say this about former Cuse guys in the league? He just plays so lazily and doesn't defend a lick.
