Our best 4 year stretch was 87-90 (DC and stevie)

'87 31-7 Runner up
'88 26-9 2nd round BET champs
'89 30-8 elite 8
'90 27-6 BE season champs sweet 16

114-30 (.792)

Kris Jo 4 years

'09 28-10 sweet 16
'10 30-5 #1 seed #1 ranking BE reg season champs sweet 16
'11 27-8 2nd round
'12 10-0 #1 ranking

So far 95-23 (.805 but through the cupcake part only of '12) with 21 reg season games plus BET and postseason play

needs 20 wins to take over although DC played as a frosh and Kris Jo had minimal min's

Kjo needs a signature tourny win. Beat someone of consequence. Another flame out to a lower seed this year and most will look back on the last few years as leaving a lot of money on the table.

Would only stand one year, Triche will take that over after next season.

Good point and triche will be a 4 yr starter

Do you get credit for games you don't play, or miss b/c of injury?

He was a DNP in 4 games as a frosh, and missed a game due to concussion last year.

Not sure... Was DC suspended for the Cornell fight? Was anyone?

I think Triche will be hard to beat long term because he has a shot at being on 3 teams that win 30 games and being a starter for that whole stretch. Not going to be many guys we come in start as freshmen on teams that win 30 amd stay till seniors.

This is where that stupid Vermont game still haunts me. Going to the NIT their freshmen year notwithstanding, the class of Warrick, Pace and Forth could arguably have had the best SU careers ever. Except for that stupid Vermont game.

Freshmen, NIT. Sophomores, National Champions. Juniors, Sweet Sixteen. Seniors, First Round Losers to Stupid Friggin Vermont.

Yeah, those horrible book-ends just kill it.

If playing in games does not matter, then Mookie Jones is the guy. He would get credit for all the wins in '08-'09 before he red-shirted & then the same record as Triche. Technically, he'll get 4 1/2 years (and that 1/2 year was before we started dropping games - could be an extra 9-10 wins).

Kind of funny if you think about it...Mookie Jones the all time winningest Orangeman.

Pretty sure the DNPs and the games in which he was injured don't count.

I don't think Coleman was suspended after the Cornell game, but he was suspended for a different game, and he missed a couple games with an injured back. I think Stevie Thompson ended up with more career wins because of that.

But yeah, with a little luck Triche could be the all-time winningest SU player for quite some time to come.
