Kyle McCord: Waived by Eagles

I guess they didn't see enough from him to make them comfortable. Hopefully, he can develop on the practice squad and get another shot.

Despite his crappy preseason, I would not be shocked if another team picks him off of waivers.
It is tough playing in front of the hometown crowd, he might relax and not press so much on another team.

At any rate, I salute him for everything he did for SU.
But he wont be an Eagles superstar like my favorite SU player Donovan McNabb.

I bet he wonders what could have been if he had been able to come back to SU for another year.
He certainly would have made a lot more money.

Definite practice squad, which seems like a good place for him right now. Seemed to be forcing and pressing in his action in the pre season.

Garafolo's right. You don't trade assets for just a two-week fix. McCord's not real close to active in-season action, at least in Philly.

Not surprised. He was terrific last year and big time clutch👍
I had no doubt he would do well in preseason.
Did not think he would accumulate the incredible stats - 176 yards and 2 touchdowns
Thought oronde, or McCord, or Allen would outshine him.

Practice squad?

Frankly, I would prefer he go elsewhere.
I just think the pressure to perform in front of the home crowd is too much for him - he really stunk in the preseason there.
And there is no legitimate path to playing time in the near future.
The only problem is will anyone give him a look after his preseason.

if he did in fact get a waiver by the ncaa and still chose to head to the NFL its going rate pretty high on the poor decisions chart. he could have named his price in the portal.

On the Meeks stuff. I wouldn’t have called him our best player nor biggest contributor, but +1 on “not surprised by that.” He and LeQuint were the main ones last year making the type of “how is that even possible?!?” plays that are a huge NFL clue.

You cannot come into Philadelphia and expect to be your best in preseason due to the OL being 2nd and third stringers and the WR's too. Kyle isn't an elusive QB either which will go against him wherever he lands. Hope he gets a chance somewhere - tough playing behind the Superbowl QB.

The limited stuff i saw, his timing seemed off on most of his throws.

On the flip side maybe our offense can make the next new guy look that good
