Here’s the news people don’t talk about much. Dino wasn’t the answer ever. Not after 2018. Not today. 2018 was fortuitous more than anything else. Sometimes teams are decent and have a schedule that breaks their way with some wins they pull out that they probably shouldn’t. That’s 2018. But it’s not like Dino made some terrific progress building a sustainable team. He cobbled together a winning season. There’s a distinct difference. I was very leery of the extension at the time because I was concerned he really hadn’t shown anything in the way of team building yet and unfortunately it was warranted. He seems like a good guy. He’s been a good representative, although his shtick has always been a shtick. Coaches are crapshoots. It’s really hard to find a good one and SU needs a particularly good one considering our spot. Dino was never it. Here’s hoping we find the needle in the haystack.

the only thing I will say with this is that yes, it starts with recruiting talent. Obviously has to have the ability to play at this level. However, as my son once said "Dad it is hard to improve when you only play with the Sh$&%ters"

My guess is the other QBs get zero meaningful reps and are not being developed. S&C and player development is very poor here. Thus the injuries that pile up and the lack of even decent backups.

I'll say it again. SU is only interested in cashing ACC checks. they can't compete in P5 football and they are masking this by accepting mediocrity

Yeah, my jaw dropped when he said that. It is one thing to be a players coach and give the old "I have to coach better" but that is just foolish when he throws 4 picks by staring at the receiver from the snap.
