The Lakers are an awful franchise right now and they can't buy their way out of it now. That 2 year 48 million dollar contract they gave Kobe paused their rebuilding process for 2 years.

The article I read was like "well you might as well throw Ollie and Paypal in the mix." This was after they mentioned five legitimate choices. Both Van Gundy's, Kerr, Byron Scott and----I don't remember.

If the Thunder lose tonight to Memphis then OKC coach Scott Brooks is done. I think Kevin Ollie would be a target for the Thunder HC job and the Lakers job. Both teams want to get Kevin Durant in 2016 free agency. Ollie could decide where Durant goes to play. I think Ollie will be in the NBA soon and Jim Calhoun may come back to U-Conn for a few years and U-Conn scrambles for another coach after Calhoun.
The Lakers will end up with one of Kevin Ollie, Derek Fisher, Frank Vogel or Tom Thibodeau IMO.
