Right, wrong or indifferent this happens quite a bit with these kinds of big athletes.

When situations like this arise - the truth is ALWAYS somewhere in the middle. Did the staff "lie" during recruiting? Maybe. Did Morris only hear what he wanted to hear? Probably. It's just not as clear cut as some here want to believe - "so the kid didn't want to block so he's transfering!!" It just didn't work out and those who want to find some hidden insinuations are wasting your time.

He didn't quit two weeks in, he was here for 8 months. That changes things in my book. He gave it a shot and it doesn't sound like it was working out for either side. My second guess is that he will land somewhere fairly quickly. I'm sure he communicated his unhappiness with his high school coach or others around them and they've already put some feelers out to other programs. This is why he did this now and didn't wait until the end of the season.  He can transfer now but can't play this Fall. He can still practice wherever he ends up.

Wish he stuck it out a bit longer but sometimes these things don't happen and it's better for both sides for someone to move on sooner rather than later.
