Dear UNC Asheville,

Watch how Lehigh conducted themselves after they *beat* Duke.

With the class you should have displayed.

Happy March Madness and Go Orange.

In particular, Ed Beidenback should take note of how K comports himself after a loss. Say what you want about K, but he is always dignified and gracious in defeat.

Agreed. He certainly points out his teams failings but he always makes a point to go out of his way to say that the other team won and deserved to. He also made a great point about how good the game of bball has been to him and how much he loves it even after what must be a crushing loss for him.

Yes. Even with all he's accomplished, he understands how difficult it is to succeed in this tournament and that most seasons will end with a loss. K certainly has perspective. JB has it too, if someone takes the time to really listen to what he's saying.

I think Coach K was gracious last night, disagree that that is the norm...anyway, can someone please answer this question for me? I watched the Asheville game in a Buffalo Wild Wings by myself surrounded by a bunch of Syracuse haters (telling anyone that would listen that "boneless chicken wings" are a disgrace to mankind). So I did not hear the analysis of why they called off Triche's "and one." I've also not read any posts since the game so sorry if this is covered territory. But I am very curious and would really appreciate some clarify. You think after 30+ years of watching hoops you would have seen it all but I dont know this rule.

It seemed clear to me that (1) Triche was fouled before shot clock expired and (2) got shot off after shot clock expired. Maybe I am wrong and ref ruled that even foul came after shot clock expired. Anyway, what happens if (1) and (2) happens. It seems logical to me that the "and one" counts - bc in theory one could readjust or at least have been delayed in shooting by the foul. All else I can see is that basket does not count but player shoots 2. I cannot imagine rule is it does not matter when you were fouled, only when shot goes off...for example what if shot missed, you'd have to get 2 shots if you are fouled in the act before clock expires. Can anyone explain (1) what the rule is and (2) what the call was here? Many thanks. Go Cuse Bay-Bee...

I've visited Asheville, and it's the meth capital of the Southeast. It's way over-rated as a place to visit. Their B-ball team and coaches are a legend in their own minds. RIP UNCA!
