From the Hopkins perspective, ACC affiliate membership was the first choice before a) the ACC balked at it and b) Maryland joining the Big Ten turned the attention that way. Big East is the other conference that I think Hopkins had some serious discussions with, and they of course ended up with Denver. [/QUOTE]
