The other team was never passing (dating myself..the 90s were 90% running plays) so I kept cheating up and getting tackles on the running plays. Every official on the field threw a penalty flag. My coach was mad at me because I blew my only and most basic assignment.  Yet in my defense it was a sure thing touchdown if I had not tackled the guy in the open field. I tried to hold him:) I am surprised the tight end didn't punch me or start a fight. It was his only target the entire game.  That play by the Georgia tech guy was a smart play.  Honestly, I am surprised it does not happen more in the college game as pass interference is not a spot foul.
