I doubt he was offered anything as it was a slam dunk consensus for over a year he was going to be the number one pick in the draft. ESPN started airing his high school games his senior year. Even if he were offered $500k back then, it wouldn't compare to the NBA money is was soon to get...so why would anyone really have bothered?

How would Lebron know anything about the NCAA?
Maybe the best way to uncorrupt the NCAA is for the best players to bypass college altogether. Please make it happen, NBA players union. They control a lot of the potential solution to the money problem of amateur basketball.
