A big improvement from last year. Dungey did an awesome job, considering the circumstances. He looked poised and made good decisions. The receivers ran into space and presented big targets. Dungey kept throwing low, completing passes but lacking YAC. The chains moved against scrimmage fodder in his first start, so I can deal with that. He made a couple of good throws and has a quick release. His TD pass on the screen to Phillips was a total What pass, but he settled down after that. The run game was stellar, especially Fredericks. The guy is a stud. Powerful and great balance. There's a reason he got the majority of the snaps in the 1st half. He just seemed to make things happen in a way that Morris couldn't. MacFarlane missing was suspicious, but he was not missed today. And Jacob Hill looks like a player- could have gone all day against RI. Give him some time and he will be a contributor. The O-Line looked good- I didn't notice Shanley at all. I know I missed several, but here are the guys who lost their RS today from names I saw on the field: Dungey, Fredericks, Conway, Guidice, Clark, Ealey, Hill, Strickland, Ellison, Perkins. Also, Charles, Albrecht, Hill, and Shanley got run- A good day for the walk-ons. Cam McPherson also contributed, and he was just put on scholarship this year.
