different tenor than his normal style. in an earlier game, he kept saying "power 6" conferences (meant to include the big east) which I thought was a bit confrontational for him. he has been beating on the zone so far, and targeting individual players such as mcc, which is unusual for an announcer. he is not normally so negative, I wonder if he holds conference realignment against SU a bit, or is pissed about something else.

He was probably so gob smacked by the game that he was watching that he babbled incoherently.

I'm more concerned about the studio guy who said that the Baylor/KU game was coming on after that "thriller" between ga tech/SU.

I don't care if that went to 4 ot's and the final score was 55-54.

Thriller? Stop it.

The best was when he went on the defensive about twitter chatter about him misnaming SU players as usual. You ever heard of an announcer addressing twitter BS like that? Talk about thin skin.

I do believe, however, that his favorite all time player was Jeremy McNeil. Everytime that guy would make a block, Elmore would go into hysterics.

I do think he is tremendously pissed about his Terps in the B1G.

But SU's move to the ACC had nothing to do with it. It's all on the Maryland AD's inability to keep the department from hemorrhaging red ink.

Of course, he also may be offended by the very notion of SU in the ACC.

Wasn't he calling Kaleb, Kris Joseph for like half the game? Then he finally realized it.

Yeah. Then he saw twitter where he was getting called out pretty hard

As a live TV producer (news, not sports) -- I speak from experience in saying his producer (or anyone else in the truck) should have caught him saying it and had him subtly 'correct' himself when he did it more than once... he should have not publically surrendered to the twitter trolls. Came off really, really bad on TV and I wonder if his boss will be following up.

Elmore thought Ennis should have stayed another year which means him going pro was in fact the correct move.

Elmore was a decent announcer until UMd, heretofore known as the dump, announced their leaving for the BiG... he was not very keen or unbiased when he did one of the UVa games earlier this season. Not sure if he did the UVa v Dump game or not in the challenge...

Wasn't really the AD's fault. The Maryland Legislature wouldn't let the Athletic Department get any General Fund money.

Maryland sports aren't attractive enough to fund themselves. BB and FB can't earn enough to offset the costs of the whole department.

I'd rather stab my ear drums with a dull knife than have to listen to Len Elmore call a Syracuse game. Completely ruins it for me.

With that being said however, now that Syracuse fans have gotten under his skin yet AGAIN, I somehow look forward to hearing him call another Syracuse game. It will be comically insulting I'm sure, and will gear us up with other "mistakes" he makes. Always look forward to how he can butcher names.

He belongs right in with the B1G football crew who called the Minnesota/Cuse game in 2012. Ryan Naseeb and Ritchy Rene are Syracuse players who have yet to report to campus.

What is elmore doing reading twitter while doing the game anyways. And to get up set when fans get on his case for NOT knowing the names of players. Very unprofessional.
