Lengthy debate on future ACC football schedules close to resolution

I think the best solution is to have all schools go to a 13 game schedule, keep the divisions and divisional rivalry, go to 9 league games that way you get to play everyone every 3 years in the other division, 2 teams each year.

1 game more each year per team is more content for the ESPN contract as well, maybe renegotiate the contract and let them pick from the new 14 games.

My solution:

Assuming they relax the rules and allow the no divisions rule. Assuming ND plays 5 ACC teams a year.

1. Keep 8 game schedule
2. Each school has 3 annual rivals
3. The remaining 5 teams come from the 10 other ACC teams (you cycle through each team (home n home) every 2 out of 4 years
4. Having Notre Dame allows a defacto high RPI game for a 1/3 of the schools
5. National Contending schools will have the option to schedule an additional (non league standing ACC team for RPI boosting purposes) if need be. Have to figure out it it could be used for a tiebreaker.

Have a 9 game plan ready if it is financially worth it: i.e. ACC Network
