Les Miles is a bro

He's also married to a CMU Chippawa

WAS A VERY COOL MOVE ON HIS BEHALF THOUGH

One of the things I like about Coach Miles is he is "real", not one of those fake or phony narcissistic coaches that blather on endlessly about themselves or how whatever problem their team has is not their fault. And if you watch / follow Miles long enough, I mean you just can't make that stuff up! :)

I've always respected Miles doesn't seem like your typical coach ... seems like a rather genuine dude although at times he seems odd or at least makes odd decisions.

I'm the same way - Les has always seemed liked a very likable but slightly offbeat guy

He is his own man (and genuine), love him or hate him. In the fanbase, we seem to have very few that are in the middle. It is pretty much one side or the other.

He said we had a great law school -- LOL, I love that as a grad but we're not all that good :)

Les is really a character - I think you guys are right, he's authentic and a lot less calculating in how he deals with the press than most coaches.

Here's a classic Les moment - his equivalent of "I'm a man, I'm 40!" that Gundy had a few years ago.

One of the local reporters had written a senior on the team - a 5 star recruit out of high school - was a "flop" during the week before the game.

So Les had that on his mind as he starts the post-game presser (stick around for the 1:20 mark when he goes in a totally different direction):

We need more guys like Les in coaching.

Hey now - it was good enough for the Veep? Just sayin'. Always good to get academic props - they've been few and far between lately.

This was very entertaining. He seems to really care about his players. After watching that video I would want my son to play for him. As hokey as Shafer is, I think that he is very similar. The 1:20 mark was certainly over the top but genuine.
