I am a small time better... I typically bet $20-40 on a few games a week. Win some, Lose some, but never lose or win too much. I saw Va Tech -10.5 and my jaw dropped. Didn't care that their offense has been somewhat pedestrian this year, didn't care the game was @ Pitt. Pitt has SUCKED this year. I wouldn't have cared if Dan Marino and Larry Fitzgerald and Lesean Mccoy were playing. I put $45 on Va tech. Easy money. I wake up this morning, do a few honey do things around the house and then set off on my morning run along the silver comet trail in Atlanta. There is 1 part where I have to cross an entry point from a neighborhood to a parkway, maybe about as busy as Erie Blvd. Keep in mind I am on a trail with a crosswalk. Cars know they are crossing the trail. I make my way up the mini hill to this crosswalk and as I am jogging up I see an SUV with a bunch of Va Tech flags waiting to turn right onto the parkway. There are a bunch of cars coming along the parkway so after a slight hesitation I decide to run across my crosswalk. At that exact time the VA Tech SUV decides to try to beat a car and turn right without looking to see if anyone was crossing along the trail. Thankfully I had my eyes on him the whole way so I was able to evade his dumbassness. But it was at the exact moment that I knew that I would never see that $45 again.
