I am not related to this young man nor do I have a financial interest in this business. However, I feel he deserves our support!

I hope he got the rights from Charlie Brown. We used Charlie Brown’s theme all through high school but we couldn’t use any mention of it in our senior yearbook. Be prepared to be sued.

The Syracuse logo rights too.

I have a feeling that site will be getting shut down before long.

I am checking with them about the liscensing.

I doubt they give you the rights. We just wanted to use a couple of illustrations in our yearbook and it was flatly denied.

IMO,
There is way too much greed by those empowered through these licenses, keeping tight control and denying access to charitable offerings and in this case a young person with a disability from developing a business model.
If they cared about doing the right thing they would grant him limited use.

Be that as it may, there are products for various colleges and professional teams being sold on that site, and they all seem to include licensed images of those institutions and organizations, as well as other licensed commercial images. Unless permission for use has been requested and granted in all instances, this is problematic.

There are people selling unlicensed knockoff products all over, My original premise was if these organizations truly weren’t all about profit and open to helping selected others they could do so. Take for example the NCAA which is supposed to be an organization that supports the welfare of student athletes and they were making millions on selling individual athletes likenesses and jersey’s until they were outed and out of that came NLI’s.
