There's a lot of people on here who could easily do this job in my opinion. The question is would it pay enough and whether or not they'd have the ability to connect with young athletes who are predominantly from a different demographic than they are. My guess is yes for most. All the other requirements are easy. Hot-takes are cool too though.

Personally I am just going to admit that I really know nothing and just like to rant and give hot-takes.

So you think you can breakdown film with Dino eh? If you can then most excellent for you. To say that a lot of people on this board can do those things is ridiculous. To think so tells me you don't really know the level of detail and breakdown that actually gets done.

LOL. I'm guessing this position is light on the first couple lines and very heavy on the last.

This logic is inbuilt with excuses attached. All I'm looking for is wins. Consistently. High Standards. Is that wrong as a fan. Not saying I could do better. Just trying to hold staff accountable for making 4 million a year ensuring my attendance and money spent. I like to spend money on high quality product. Not spend money on inferior product then rationalize and make excuses as to why its hard to win in the ACC. Of course its hard. That's why we hired him. To say to fans and consumers could you do better is silly. I don't know how to perform surgery but when they make a mistake is it acceptable for the Dr. to tell you 'could you do better'? or do it yourself then. I recently went to the emergency room a few months a go with severe abdominal pain. Asked several times if it was a kidney stone. Nope, pain should be more on side, nothing on XRay or CTScan. Went home. A few weeks later passed a kidney stone. Looky here. Called Dr. and asked for them to really look at the Scan.
Oh there it was. Woops. Did I get an apology, Nope, Discount on Bill... Nope...Money for Pain and discomfort, nope. Can you imagine if they responded to my anger with Then you read the Scans next time or 'Could you have done better? Wrong approach and wrong attitude.

I’ll bite...I know it was a rhetorical question so I won’t answer it. I think we’ve got some pretty sharp people on this board. I really have no idea what to say to your last sentence but it did make me chuckle. I hope you didn’t break a finger when you hit the post reply. Lol

Doubling down eh? The job went to Kirk Martin. He coached for 25 years in Texas building a 108-25 W-L record, including six district titles, eight straight playoff berths (2010-17) and 2 state championship appearances. He followed that up with 2 seasons as a P5 QBs coach. I don't think one single person on this board has that kind of resume.

okay lets run it back... Are you saying people can't do the job or that people can't compete for the job? If it's about competing, I agree with you. Some of these people on this board have been watching football and contributing to some kind of profession at an extremely high level since I was a tadpole. So who am I to judge their ability to adapt to any type of job?
