Wow, this thread highlights alot of what is wrong in society. And I'm not referring to the OP. Im referring to the replies. Nowhere is he making light of pedophilia. Look nobody is trying to make some grand political statement here. I simply feel that supporters of the Syracuse basketball program might want to ease back on pedofile references/jokes/inferences/etc because it makes us look like morons to be joking/referring/inferring about it while an active investigation into a long time coach is underway and our HOF head coach is the subject of a defamation re: those same allegations. The push-back from my perspective is related to that. No more, no less.

In fact Syracuse's "involvement" in such a scandal only makes the posters comment all the more impactful. We had nothing to do with the scandal. Im not apologizing for something I had nothing to do with. Maybe Bernie Fine should be careful in using such phraseology but I don't see why the rest us should.

...original comment about Peds is true...but given the sensitivity of the BF accusations probably not in the best taste...of course comment may not have specified BF, but because of the issue he is being accused...then it can be taken as a comment alluded to BF...
1. would you have used PED analogy if BF was not accused
2. do you understand the sensivity of your comment in a place and school that is presently under a microscope
3. BF is only accused...nothing yet indicates that is was a PED...and 3rd and 4th accusers are now all but put to rest....
Just saying...otherwise your comment wasn't as malicious or bad as we have made out...just not politically correct
