I believe things look bright for us moving forward. Would anyone have said that at this juncture they wouldn't take 8 wins after our 0-4 start? Of course not and this is still with NC State at home and a struggling FSU team to finish out. While UNC is awfully talented, it is of course with Roy at the helm so anything could happen. Offense intended tar heel fans.
We certainly can't take NC State for granted as they have made things interesting against most teams that they have played, with the big exception of their latest Virginia game. That being said, with everyone (including Robe) knowing the importance of this game, I fully expect solid play that will result in a W.
Against, UNC, hopefully we can make it interesting late in the game and who knows. I still expect a L though.
FSU is helping us right now. With an expected Duke loss on Thursday night, barring an ACC tournament championship, they are NIT. That plays nicely for us for two reasons. First, they are one bubble team that is no longer. Second, the last game of the season won't be quite the same for them knowing that even a W will still mean Hello NIT.
All in all, I like where we are with things. We lost to a red hot Lousiville team on the road - no biggie. Lost again to Pitt, who obviously has our number. Sickening to lose to that jack-hole of a coach but whatever. We win at least 2 of the next three, as we should, we are good to go.
One other note... aside from eagerly awaiting another victory on Saturday, I can't wait to see how Robe responds. My guess, he will respond favorably.
