Was this a bust of a season? Absolutely. However we have set ourselves up for good to great seasons to come. We proved that we can hang with Florida State and Clemson. Not only did we prove we can with the elite teams we did it with Freshman and underclass men as our leaders on our field. We gained much needed experience for playmakers such as phillips, long, Ishmael, and zaire. I think there will be lots of competition in camp next summer. Not only was this a learning experience for Shafer but all the players. I think the defense comes back just as strong next year and another year under Bullough can only mean good things we have a very solid foundation with talent on defense. Offense will remain a question mark but I think we figure it out with either long or eduord as our QB and Ishmael, phillips, Estime, Custis, Broyld,  Lewis and Strickland  are all nice players to have on offense we just need good play calling. The talent is there to have a good season we just need to stay healthy!
