Living in Akron around tons of cavs fans makes me realize

Watched the game from my living room. Was rooting GS. Bummed they lost. Have to deal with a bunch of cavs fans and constantly hearing about it tomorrow now. Cleveland looks crazy tho, friends up there.

That said, UCONN/OSU/patriots/Seahawks or red sox winning are far and away worse.

They have had nothing to cheer about for 50 years. Everyone deserves a little happiness.

That's bullsh. Most of these people are Ohio state football fans.

All I heard two years ago after they got into the playoff was "US AGAINST THE WORLD!". Playing the david vs Goliath card... Osu. Top program ever with 5* recruits everywhere.

I've given my props to cleveland and my friends around here. But narrative of "cleveland deserves this". Now I can stop hearing that bs "believe land" and "all in" garbage.

I feel you. I live a couple of miles from Nova's campus. Their fans are insufferable. and not very bright.

OSU and Cleveland pro sports are two VERY different things. There is a different level of love and frustration involved. Most of the people like OSU, but they live and die Browns, Indians and Cavs.

But I can definitely see why people hate us.
 
It's funny..I have a buddy who lives in norcal. Hes been there for like seven years... who complains about all the bandwagon Golden State fans that have come out of the woodwork circa 2015.

I think if you live in a sports town and have no rooting interest in the local team your going to find said local fans obnoxious.

Well said! I live among Clemson and South Carolina fans with a whole lot of other assorted fans thrown in. It gets pretty tiresome some days.

I don't know. I'm actually qualified to comment since I grew up in this area and have come back after college and some work in NYC, LA, and Miami. The pro title drought weighs heavily here. Yeah, most are OSU fans. Diehard OSU fans too. But, CLE/AKR/NE Ohio is portrayed so negatively in the media. Certainly from a pro sports standpoint and that's accurate but hearing it over and over and going through the debacles in person is frustrating. It constantly beats down on people. Non sports-wise it is also ridiculed. Something positive to unite the area I'm all for even if it is cheesy with the "Believeland" or "All In." Non sports-wise there has been heavy crime the past decades, homicides galore, economic decline, (though now a renaissance of sorts), the Tamir Rice situation, the Ariel Castro kidnappings, etc. All negative always in terms of the national media spotlight. I understand the whole "Cleveland deserves this" mantra and the efforts to unite in this Title hunt.

If uconn fans are the least deserving of championships, Cleveland's fans are the most.
