It isn't getting any easier...

HOME: Nova, Maryland, Duke (a much tougher game than you would've expected a year ago), Florida St. (assuming Winston is their QB next year, I think this game will sell out), Louisville, NC State

ROAD: Central Michigan, Clemson, Pitt, Wake Forest, Boston College

METLIFE: Notre Dame

Very few "boring" games on this list. Go Orange!

Florida State, Clemson, Louisville- Our ACC division is so much better than the Coastal. I hope they balance it out. I wonder how good Louisville is without Bridgewater.

Looks hard now but things will flush out, Clemson loses a ton and I think Duke has a lot of seniors as well. BC loses Williams and Bridgewater and a couple of there Wr's are gone.

Better to be in the stronger division, players want to play, and beat the best. Should help as another caveat for recruiting.

Yeah Clemson and FSU are tough, so is VT who was won 4 of the last 10 ACC championships including 2 of the last 5. Add in Miami and a crazy GT team we can't defend against AT ALL and I think it's more even than some here would like to think. This year that is not the case but I don't expect VT or Miami to be down long. In 5 years we may be happy we are playing on this side as opposed to the other. Add in UL for MD on our side and it ups the ante, but if Duke finds a way to continue doing what it's doing then it ups the ante on the other side as well. At first I was sad we wouldn't be able to renew a yearly rivalry with VT or get some chances at payback against Miami, but it would have felt like the old BE, being with FSU and Clemson makes it feel more like we've joined a new conference, not rebuilt the old one.

That home schedule is absurd. If there was a year to buy season tickets, that's it.

Worried this will be like 2010 where we win more road games than home games.

I think our side of the ACC is much more top heavy with FSU and Clemson. Ville is a notch below them especially without Bridgewater next year but still a notch above the rest of us "right now", that could change very quickly. After those three teams there is a bigger dropoff in the talent pool than in the other division, we may have 2 auto-losses per year until we get to the next level BUT we probably have more winnable games.

The other side of the ACC doesn't have those two dominant teams but they have a whole bunch of good teams.

One of NC State, Duke, Louisville will be a Friday Night home game. I like this as we draw well on Friday Night game. Wake @ BC was the ACC Friday Night game this year I think SU will alternate with BC on hosting this game. My guess would be Duke @ Syracuse just to capitalize on Duke's surprise Coastal Division title this year.

This year yes I agree however take a look below at the last 6 ACC champions:

2012 FSU
2011 Clemson
2010 VPI
2009 GT(vacated)
2008 VPI
2007 VPI

So historically speaking, the other side is more top heavy winning 4/6 of recent conference championships. It's just not the case with Winston and Boyd this year.

Based on recruiting I cant see FSU and Clemson not sustaining this. FSU especially, I think theyre on the brink of Bama status.

Clemson is interesting. They are historically just okay, while their recent success is a bit higher than that. I could see them go either way.

I don't like Dabo at all and could see him slowly losing it - and their star OC will be a hot commodity as a HC (Wake already). But they have had some crazy exposure and great recruiting.

Louisville doesn't scare me, with or without Bridgewater. They are us in a lot of ways.

ND will get a lot of hype, but I always wonder how justified it is. We could get them next year.

Duke actually younger than I thought many juniors in skill positions it will be interesting however as the coaching carousel moves to see if Cutcliffe sticks around with the news he's making this year. Also interesting to see the state of Clemson with all the potential draft picks they will have departing.

Probably buying an additional 4 season tix in 301 next year. Awesome schedule, plus I think we will be fun as hell to watch on offense.

Oh yeah, I really don't like Syracuse Football either.

???? I see one unwinnable game on the home schedule

Cutcliffe seems like the new Grobe. After being run out of Ole Miss, he seems to be somewhat content in his current position. There were rumors about him and Tennessee last year, but he quickly put them to rest by signing an extension through 2018. It's more a question of whether he can continue the recent success long term. Duke has recently invested a lot of money recently into improving their facilities, so a quick return to doormat/cannon fodder status is not assured.

Duke should be the Northwestern of the ACC. A team that will typically have a have a good/great offense and will win between 5-10 games in a season depending on how good their defense is. Duke with Cutcliffe being able to groom QBs will get offensive talent into that program he just needs to recruit Defensive lineman and linebackers to turn Duke into a Stanford type of team. Duke will stay decent I don't think they will win 10 games in the next couple of seasons, but if their recruiting improves they could be a top 25 team every couple of seasons like Northwestern.

Not saying they are unwinnable. I'm just saying the road schedule looks easier than home.

Would love to take 4 of 5 on the road, but I think we will get at least 3 (not counting the ND MetLife game). At home, I think we get Ws with Nova/Maryland/NC State at home and maybe get one of two from LVille and Duke.

Then the ND game I think we'll be competitive and could win.

I know that is the glass half full outlook, but if we even get marginally better, we should get to 7 wins and possibly 8 going into a bowl.

I'll still convince myself that we'll go undefeated, but that's normal.
