The Onondaga Flames are looking for a Director of Operations | Marketing for our Collegiate Summer League Baseball team. Great entry level job for a recent spots management major. This is a full time job.

Director of Operations | Marketing

The Onondaga Flames collegiate summer league baseball team is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player to fill the role of Director of Operations | Marketing. Excellent entry level position to learn baseball operations in intense summer league environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a fun positive work environment.
• Responsible for all non-baseball operations including game day activities, marketing and sponsorship sales.
• Develop and oversee all ticket sales and promotions, including church night fundraisers; Senior Citizen Center activities; Little League and youth baseball events.
• Community Outreach – develop our reading program for schools and libraries; be ambassador to community, including chamber of commerce, non-profit clubs. This will entail speaking at breakfast, lunches and dinners.
• Design and produce all promotional materials.
• Maintain website and comprehensive social media programs.
• Maintain live game broadcasts.
• Recruit qualified interns - train, supervise and evaluate performance.
• Sell logo sponsorships for baseballs, caps, t-shirts, daily roster sheets, baseball bingo.
• Sell sponsorship opportunities for stadium signs, game day events, movie nights and other promotions.
• Secure coupons and other fan giveaways.
• Sell advertisements in official program.
• Handle all bus schedules, player meals and other travel requirements.
• Coordinate and confirm schedule with league and OCC.
• Manage all press relationships.

Qualifications

• College Degree
• Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to interact with staff members at all levels.
• Reliable, responsible and punctual.
• Able to prioritize and multi-task.
• Experience in sales/promotions

Desired

• Experience in Baseball operations preferred
• Sports Management major

Weekend, holiday and evening hours required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $24,000.00 /year bonus eligible
