I figure the 2014-2015 season is already over. Assuming Grant leaves this year or next, that would give us 9 scholarship players (please correct me if I am wrong) so there would be four open spots. So far we have Richardson and Lydon committed. I think with our troubles at center we need to get at least one of the following guys: Diagne, Diallo, or Bryant. The other guy I would love to see us get is Derrick Jones. Jones has stated Syracuse is his dream school. With an overall rank of 13, Jones would be the best recruit in the class (provided you believe the rankings mean anything). Any comments?

And yes, I still stand by what I said. Until I convinced otherwise the 2014-2015 season is already a wash.

I stopped reading this post after the first sentence.

Unbelievable. It's April!

Please tell me what would be a title of a "good" thread in April. I would love to read what scintillating topics you would be starting threads about.

It's absolutely ridiculous you are already passing over the 2014-15 year, but I will play along. Jones is basically out, which the board should be happy about since he is the type of player everyone has been complaining about. So we have Richardson, Lydon, and Franklin Howard as of next week. I think we try to make it work some way or the other with Diagne and Bryant to close out the class.

Please give me a little more info why you don't like Jones. We definitely need another center. But we also need another true PG. I sure hope Patterson, BJ, and Roberson start to deliver next season.

Jones fit into that athlete who can't shoot mold. It seems we chose to go with Tyler Lydon ahead of him. I like the move since Lydon fits our style a little better with his length, plus he is a little more rounded offensively.

Franklin Howard is a combo guard, but could be looked at as our PG.

Dave85:

Please let me know this time next year if I need to be a fan in 2014-15 and given that you have written off next season, please spare us your thoughts for the next year as well. Until then I will make sure to keep you on ignore because I plan on being as big a fan next year as I have been for the past 50.

I remember there were a lot of concerns after Flynn, Harris, and Devendorf left. We recovered OK.

Wow, talk about thin skin. You have to admit this season was a little disappointing in some respects. It's not that I am not going to think the Orange have a chance to win every game. But Ennis leaving for the NBA hurt us for next season pretty bad. If Grant leaves for the NBA we will have Cooney as main offensive threat against Dukes five 5-star freshmen coming in. We shall see.

Put me on ignore Mr.Thin-Skin.

I hope so. I hope next year's team is capable of competing with tougher programs.

You have thoughtful response. I was hoping to talk about recruiting for 2015 and what we will need. But the conversation degraded quickly to pissing contest over who's piss is more orange. Without Ennis, 2014-2015 will be a tough season. UCONN just won a NC with two upper classmen guards. I wish we got one more year out of Ennis. Oh well.

So you think Howard and Daigne would be the best additions to the 2015 class. If Roberson and McCollough deliver then maybe you are right.

NOBODY has any clue how next year will play out. Have we still not figured out that anything can happen in this sport? We of all people should know this.

Regardless of our record next year, I'll be there rooting and watching as hard as ever.

If we have four spots open in 2015, who do you think we should get?

You write off the team next year then get upset when someone writes you off too?

Why should I not look forward to Next season?

Because without Ennis, we are going to have issues at PG again like this year. It's a long season.

What's your prediction? Are you all hat no cattle? How good is the team going to be next year?

All hat but no cattle? I have no idea how good they'll be next year. But I know whether we have Grant, Ennis or norther, we'll be good. And no matter what, in not writing them off. Real fans are like that.

It's not that I am passing it over. I just think next year's team will be similar to this year's team. We have issues at center. We have issues at PG. If JB plays Joseph 40 minutes the whole season I hope he survives. I think Ennis got worn down towards the end of the season.

Who's "norther"
