Some things I'm interested in seeing in the next few weeks from the team:

1) Will Butler get fired up after his dumpster fire of a game yesterday, or will he wilt?

2) If he wilts, is there a young buck who will take the reins and step up?

3) Devito getting reps next week in a low pressure game, where he can maybe get into a rhythm. It's obvious he has a good arm, and nice touch. Can he make that happen in games? I'll be honest, I've always wondered if he was a workout warrior, or if he had the goods when the lights came on. Specifically after seeing his senior year in HS, where it seemed both he and his team underachieved a bit.

4) Hopefully SU takes care of business early next week, and ALL of the young guys get some run. No reason for the first teamers to be in the game more than midway through the third. With the new redshirt rules, I'd love to see everyone playing.

5) Figure the CB situation out. If it's gonna be Trill moving forward get him out there next week for the whole game.

Devito threw for almost 2K yards as a senior. The team around him wasn’t as good. He did not underachieve.

1) Continue to improve the OL ... (build off RZ momentum and address PP issues);
2) Shore up our coverage problems in the secondary (absolutely torched by Eskridge and Reed);
3) work on our DL pass rush (we made Wassink look like Aaron Rogers in the 3Q);
4) better reads from the LB's (who gave up several chunk plays to Bellamy).

Its Wagner I am not looking at any individual performances just want no injuries. If we don't physically dominate Wagner at all levels then I will be concerned. IMO no positives to take away from a game against Wagner.

I am confident after yesterday that we treat Wagner game appropriately and get out of the gates quick. Yesterday was far from perfect but it was nice to see us purely dominate early.

Hope for a blowout next week with some really good time for DeVito and other young guys

wagner has the #4 rusher in the FCS from last year who ran for 270 this week.. we better show up.

We did well against WMUs running game which featured multiple good backs. Not worried about Wagner’s run game. More concerned that we need to figure out the back end of the D.

I just hope we see some decent holes so the RBs gain yds before contact and we dont need to use Dungey to move the chains.

I absolutely hope you’re right. Don Bosco was hyped big his senior year and didn’t play up to expectations.

He definitely has the arm for it. I hope he has the intestinal fortitude too.

But that was not on Devito.

His stats senior year were miles ahead of his junior year stats even though the junior year team won states.
