cant remember the exact moment, but scoop missed a huge layup fairly late in the 2nd half, think we were down 4 at the time.
Hello everyone, Im a first time poster here. I was born and raised in the syaracuse area but have resided in Sacramento Ca. for the last 40 years. But I bleed syracuse orange. I agree that the orange missed quite a few layups in this game that cost them. Also with no Melo we did not have an answer for Sulinlger and I think there other big guy was Smith. They just pounded the ball inside like I thought they would and we had no one to stop them.
But all in all, what a season the orange had,one of the best ever. i got some questions for anyone who cares to answer.
What is Fab Melo"s status? Is he done at SU? Coming back? Going to NBA? which i feel is a huge mistake. He is no where ready for that.
How many seniors are we losing?
I see Dion Waiters is gone. He has the game for NBA i do believe.
Who is this Dejuan Coleman from JD-High School.? Is he going to be a player?
And one last question, who is this Noel kid everyone seems to be talking about?
Well thats it for my first post. its hard to get good information on these east coast players living out here like i I do. Thanks for info a head a time.
Sorry for the large font. Is this better? Thanks for the answers to my questions Ghost. Didn"t think Melo was coming back. If he is going to the NBA he is going to be a project. This reminds me of Hasheem Thabeet from UConn. Think he was drafted second overall by the Timberwolves never to be heard from again. I could see this happening to Melo. It sounds like the Cuse has some good recruits coming in. Wish the season was starting tomorrow.
How do you lose a game in the first half with three missed layups? Momentum doesn't last an entire half. How would it have carried Cuse the entire game? If Ohio State had been trailing by 8-10 in the first half, it changes the way they play. They would be more aggressive and maybe Sullinger returns to the game with 2 fouls. Some may disagree, but I think OSU was the better team on Saturday. I don't think 'Cuse was robbed. There were definitely some bad calls but they missed shots and turned the ball over when it mattered the most. Not in the first half, but in the second half. That's where the game was lost. A 6 point lead at the half means nothing. Momentum is killed by the 20 min break. In first 7 minutes

While I agree with what you are saying, the point is you can't miss layups and expect to go to the final 4How do you lose a game in the first half with three missed layups? Specifically, the game was lost late in the second half. Brandon hit a three with 6:46 remaining to bring Cuse within a point. OSU went on a 7-1 run in the next 3:30. It went from a one point game to a seven point game in no time.
Cuse's possessions from the 6:45 mark to the 3:45 TV Timeout consisted of:
- Missed three by Brandon
- Missed two by Brandon
- One of two FTs by Baye
- Scoop turnover
- Kris turnover
- Kris turnover
- TV timeout
This was the difference in my opinion and where the game was lost.
Agreed. While I agree with what you are saying, the point is you can't miss layups and expect to go to the final 4
