Does anyone here have any, um, influence over the powers that be? Would a letter to the Post Standard be in order?

If I'm SU I revoke the tickets of those who are scalping their seasons. And as was said before, 8 max was ridic. Should have been 2 max or the number of seasons you have.

In many of the tickets I listed for sale there are mentions of the seller being a season ticket holder.

I hate capitalism. ;)

Fellow fans who outrageously scalp their bretheren are worse than the guys who triple the cost of generators during a power outage in the middle of winter. We should publicly shame them.

BOOOOOOOOOO!!! I think SU should go on there and start buying up those seats just to find out who the season ticket holders are who bought them...and then revoke the season privileges next year. Donate the scapled tickets they buy to the troops at Fort Drum and then take that persons seasons from next year and offer them up in a huge raffle for charity. Losing a season should teach them a lesson.

Those prices are crazy. SU should contact all of these people posing as someone else and say they'll pick up the tickets in person. Then hire Delone Carter to go the houses and punch all of them in the face.

I think letting season ticket holders buy extra tickets was a nice perk.. But they should have limited the amount and location. The way things have gone the non season ticket holders are paying huge prices and never had shots a decent tickets for most of the better games.. Is this price range really sustainable?

I think a lot of the tix listed are owned by people who are fully expecting to go to the game. They are just seeing if they can get a ridiculous amount. If they can, they sell and watch on tv. If not, they go to the game.
Some people put their houses on the market just to see if they can get a ridiculous price for it. It's kind of the same thing, I guess.

I love capitalism. This is hilarious.

Yea we get it. SU allowing people to buy 8 tix has nothing to do with capitalism. It was a bad plan that allowed people to scalp the tix instead of other fans to go.

As to the season ticket holders selling theirs? Yea, it's their right. But with all the tix on stubhub, craigslist, etc, I'm sure they don't all have real conflicts. Most are looking to make a quick buck from other SU fans who were left out by the first point. I'm sure all of them knows someone that wants to go but can't get tix for a reasonable price. IMO, it's against the spirit and is just a money grab by folks who aren't real fans even if they do buy seasons.

I don't disagree. People are dbags. That's what I find funny.

Id
Are you looking for tix? I have a couple of good ones for $800 each. :)

It'd be awesome to go and be a part of that atmosphere, but at those prices ill be just as happy to have some people over and enjoy it from my couch. Besides... I am a habitual ref hater. And a game against Duke its probably better for all involved if I'm in the confines oh my own home.

Good thing they didn't move the court, all those Duke people would've bought up tickets.

This is the biggest one day fund the vacation project in NYS history.

Anyone who buys those tickets is a moron. I know its a huge game being the first meeting vs Duke in 15 years, first home game against them as ACC teams etc etc. But as sacreligious as this sounds I dont get the hype. There going to play each other at least twice this year maybe again in the ACC tournament and again most likely two times next year. Again this is a big game for this year but in the grand scheme of things in a few years no one will give a sh$t.

Must be lots of morons in Durham too, the cheapest ticket for this game there last I checked was $800.

Super Bowl weekend, Gameday, two legendary coaches, a probable top 5 matchup, etc etc.

Your confusing the point I am trying to make. I am saying anyone who is going to pay $700 dollars for Sec 300+ row Y is idiotic because that way overspending. Having season tickets or gotten a package to ensure you can be at the Duke game or even getting the few single game tickets SU made available is just being a great fan and wanting to see a great matchup no issue with that.

I really wanted to go to this game but there is a ton of hype over 1 regular season game and I can't justify paying even double for my tickets. I wanted to go to the GTown game in DC last year and was put off when the athletic dept required you to donate to it in order to buy tickets. Looks like I'll be watch from the comforts of my home.
