Seems a little high but what do I know.
Why would Pitino not play "Cheetos" and the other player whose name I've forgotten? The bookies just want to take the Louisville fan's money. Louisville lost two in row. Pitino is talking about playing only players who will be around next year. I think Louisville may be toast. Heck, they may not win another game the rest of the season.
I like our chances to win.
And they will be thinking about playing Duke at home after us. They are so distracted.

Here's the goofy quote I read. If you kind of read between the lines it's a little weird:
"And I want to get a look at some other guys right now. Got a good look at (7-foot center) Matz (Stockman) the other night and I was very impressed. I want to get Deng Adel some more minutes, want to get Donovan Mitchell some more minutes. So we sort of want to look at some guys that haven't played as much."
Call me a hakn a tshaynik but I think Pitino is a total shyster! I never really liked him much. No class. Blames his players when they lose. Never praises his opponent's efforts.
He also would like to play 3 ball on the pool table at friends bar with a loosely gooseyHere's the goofy quote I read. If you kind of read between the lines it's a little weird:

Dave those are valid concerns for Louisville's fans but I don't buy it. If anything, losing two in a row makes a team more focused. I really don't think Pitino would sit guys like Damion Lee and Trey Lewis for the last month of the season, and say, hey guys, I know your season has already been ruined, but it ended last week, you can't play the last 5-6 games because I said so. THese guys are going to play and be competitive for the entire game, these are their last college games and they know that with certainty. And the rest of the team is playing for these seniors. They can't play in the NCAA but maybe they can beat SU, Duke, etc. Also, coaches are just as, maybe even more competitive than players. I really doubt Pitino just lays down the last month of the season. He's coaching for recruits just like we are. You better bet if he beats SU or Duke he's on the phone with top recruits from NYC and the Carolina area talking about beating these teams, just like JB and Hop do after we won at Duke, beat UConn, etc. "Hey buddy, just FYI we won at Cameron, how's social studies going?"The bookies just want to take the Louisville fan's money. I see the spread is up to Cuse +8 this morning. This bothers me, as I feel we are getting a bit disrespected. If the home court is worth 3 points, can you honestly say Louisville is 5 points better than us on a neutral court the way we have played the last 5 weeks? The one and only loss was tied late second half at UVA, who has been playing great and actually destroyed Louisville on the road (and in our UVA game we had even cut the deficit to 3 with under 4 to go). And you have to go all the way back to Jan 9th for the last loss before that (yet another top-10 or even top-5 team UNC), and we actually had a 6 point lead with 8:20 left in the game. And tonight Mahmoud is not even playing? (also saw a thread about the possibility of their other center Onuaku also being out, although no confirmation and would be shocked after seeing the spread this high).
Anybody have a kenpom subscription? What's his prediction?
but the slick one says we don't have to worry about the press!I assume people out there like the press against our team.
I don't have a subscription but you can calculate it based on the efficiency and tempo numbers on his front page.
Louisville is net 5.2 pts better / 100 possession. The average tempo of the teams is 66 possessions, so Louisville is up 3.4. With homecourt advantage of 3.5, its close to 7.
I am not surprised with the opening line, but I am surprised that it is moving up. I would have said yesterday buy with Syracuse at 7, because it could move down a half or full point,

great though if you're looking to grab Cuse +9 and retire early. Not good that it's going up.

Up to -9, am I missing something?
I couldn't agree with you more. This is a high emotion game for them, and all their remaining games will be high emotion. I think they are a more talented team than our team last year. We fell apart. And although they've lost their last two, this is a home game. Very important. I hope we win! But it won't be easy.Dave those are valid concerns for Louisville's fans but I don't buy it. If you think Pitino will compromise his chances of winning tonight to get a long look at his deep bench players, I've got some swampland you might be interested in.Coach Pitino said he was going to play more of the bench:
"And I want to get a look at some other guys right now. Got a good look at (7-foot center) Matz (Stockman) the other night and I was very impressed. It will be interesting to see his rotation this game. Nostalgia versus getting next year's players more PT.
