They are running 50% more plays, no huddle, up tempo...finally an offense made for the Dome.

Remember they basically committed to this back at Ft Drum...give the boys the next few weeks to continue their learning curve. More plays, more players playing, more recruits want to come. Finally, I feel like we can score on any team.

That's been the single best thing about the team this year. They're really a pleasure to watch.

Offensively our biggest complaint is the way the team starts. Hopefully HCDM plan of starting practices off more aggressively translates Saturday night. If we can capture a quick start It will be ingesting to see how much of an impact an early lead can have on the other areas like special teams. Regardless it is interesting going into a game knowing you will enjoy watching the offensive scheme. That hasn't happened in a long time.

Totally agree with the above posts. But it will be even more fun to watch if we can light up the scoreboard and come out with a win at Minneapolis. 2-2 going into the Pitt game would be S-W-E-E-T!

Committed to it during the spring, thats why spring practice was closed.

I agree TM. Nassib has been better than I could've imagined. With most of the key offensive players healthy, I would love to see us come out on Sat night and put up some points. When I was at Ft Drum, it you could tell that the offense had turned the corner.

That old rascal Nate Hackett. Saying not many changes were going into the offense before the season. Agree with the above, for the first time since Donovan played I actually enjoy watching the offense. I honestly can't say that was the case for the better part of 13 years. The 15-7 loss to WVU to start the GRob era? I wish I could unsee that offense. Thanks Greg!

Is it really a "new" offense? They are running the same plays that have been run previously. The BIG difference is that the playbook has been pared down tremendously (leading to better execution) and the offense is using a much faster tempo (leading to less sophisticated defenses - and less confusion about what the defenses are running).

It has been fun to watch.

Gotta play hard against the Gophers and no mistakes!!!!!!

He now has the depth and Personel to do it.

Funny how that makes coaches and teams look better doesn't it! Lemon and Stevens who had a lot of catches last year have very few and I did not expect those two to not be a factor and the offense still be able to move the ball like they have. This is a very good thing.

It is a new offense.

They did do a no huddle at times last year so it's not really that new, just updated and more efficient and constant. There are really no other new wrinkles but I could be mistaken.

Ironically, that was also when we scored the most.

I get why people are saying that. I really do. Supposedly our offense had been "multiple" so anything and everything pertains to that, thus, what we see this year is not a new offense.

But... philosophy, pace, personnel and formation choice have all changed. It's a new offense.

OiG you could say that for every year but to me they just added more to Nassib's plate but the rest are where they usually are. More wr's than in the past formation wise but most are where they usually were. Semantics I suppose but I do enjoy watching them execute better.

I would have to say Broyld definitely changed the offense a bit. Having a guy like that doesn't give the OC sleepless nights.
