I'd like a nice comfortable win to advance, but that is not the SU way.

look at it this way.. in 2010 we blew out vermont and zaga.. where did it get us? we just played against a 15 seed that played the game of their lives . we couldnt hit an open shot , couldnt defend and played like a team expecting a forfeit.. but did anyone else see rak posting and fighting? lets give him the damn ball.. and somebody get cj his mid range j back

The optimist in me says that gives the team an edge. The college basketball world has been against the program all season. Notre Dame and Fab did everyone a favor because the gave the pollsters a reason to re-annoint Kentucky.

My hope is these guys are just sick of it. I don't care if they eke out wins. They do that better than anyone. They just need to eke out 5 more.

I don't mind the national us against them perception. And I hope it can help focus the team.

What I would like to get rid of is the feel of playing an away game. SU won the right to play in the East. Implied in that right were games like they were at MSG, not like the ones at Gampel. That was a brutal Gampel game day like deal - I don't so much care that the announcers and studio were all UNCA- but that arena wanted UNCA bad. That was a good road win for our boys. Hostile environment.

I would like to see that stop pronto. I hope KState doesn't get the crowd. That should be ours. We earned it, 31-2 style. Get us to Boston and let us get our earned advantage back for the big boys - good luck to Wisky or Vandy out-representing us there. However, I think we may have another awayish game on our hands vs KState. Looks like we may have lost the independent rooters to an anyone but SU vote.

I think the crowd influence can be underestimated. 2010 was Buffalo - then they sent us away. 2003 Albany.

Our bracket plays to us getting the crowd in the big games (if we can make it). I think in Boston we would get a big SU following, and we deserve it. I think that should favorably affect the odds for further advancement.
