LSU Elects Not to Participate in Postseason

I don't even know if the NIT would have selected them.

Saving Ben Simmons from injury.

My guess is Mr. Simmons withdraws from class beginning on Monday. Probably the smartest thing he can do.

Simmons is gonna get killed for this. Rightly or wrongly.

Unquestionably a good move for him, but unusual is never received well.

Their first half yesterday vs. aTm was the worst half I've seen all season. 13 points.

Maybe something is going on behind the scenes. The team looked lifeless against A & M. Maybe they know something about an investigation into Simmons' recruitment? It's a reach but it's odd they're not taking a bid to the NIT.

Didn't hurt Kentucky when they did it several years back.

Maybe like five mondays ago?

LSU also didn't make Ben Simmons "eligible" for the Wooden Award.

He probably stopped going to classes in October.

Yeah, I was thinking they knew any wins in the postseason are likely to get wiped out anyway once the investigation into them getting Simmons is done.

I don't remember UK doing that. What year was that?
Probably bad recollection on my part. Looks like L'ville, Maryland and Gtown have declined NIT bids in the past.

Regardless, I don't think anyone really cares if LSU isn't in the NIT, with the exception of ESPN.

The UK Kids did play in the NIT. Coach Cal and the entire fanbase had already thrown them under the bus and bailed on them.

I remember a Cremins GT team turning down a NIT bid
