I am a moderator at Tigalaya.com (Hatchertiger there, couldn't use that name here), one of your members, CusefromCanada, introduced himself there and invited us over for some discussion here. Congratulations on being 3-0! From everything I've read about your team, your fans are very excited about that and should be. Watching the highlights from your first 3 games, I can tell it will be loud in the Carrier Dome. At least we won't have to listen to those Mississippi State cowbells, my ears are still ringing from two weeks ago! LSU sold its 5,000 allotted tickets so there will be a purple and gold presence there among all the orange. Read up on your travails at QB. If Dungey can't go looks like it will be, Austin Wilson and Zach Mahoney, the two QBs that finished off the Central Michigan game. What do they bring to the table? Runners? Passers? Both? Saw video of the hit Dungey took and that was vicious. Was there a flag on the play for targeting? Should have been. According to what I can find the orange are top 3 defending the run but not as good defending the pass. Would you agree with that? Not sure how much you know about LSU but we have run the ball effectively thus far so it should be a challenge there, strength vs. strength. Our sophomore starting QB is being brought along slowly, he struggled to learn the playbook last year and was terrible in his one start on the road against Auburn. He has been effective when he has thrown thus far, simply hasn't thrown a ton yet. I suspect LSU will test your defense early running the ball and go from there. How your defense handles the run will dictate what we do. Coach Miles will be fairly conservative with a young QB but we have some nuances in our offense (like the read option) that we didn't have before. Has looked good thus far, I suspect you will see some of that on Saturday. We have a new defensive coordinator in Kevin Steele and a new d-line coach in Ed Orgeron. One of the complaints about our D had been the inability to generate a pass rush to any degree. Well that has changed. Both coaches believe in getting after the passer and thus far we have been far better than last year. In fact, the majority of sacks have come from the interior defensive lineman. Probably had our best half of defense last week limiting Auburn to 74 yards of total offense. Anyhow, looking forward to a great game and a great atmosphere even though I will have to experience it from home. Come and visit us at Tigalaya ... new guy brings the beer!
