He started looking one way often and then looked the other. Possible that is still his #1 read though. I'd bet a lot he has better vision of receivers than Rickie. If they are open throw it to the #1. There were some where the opponent had decent coverage on them but he still made the throw and completed it by putting it in the right spot, where only his receivers can get it. I watch his film and i don't see any weakness or any things that made me question can he do this or that.  He has very efficient motions. Love his throwing motion, foot work, timing, accuracy, confidence in his throws and decisions.  Moves in the pocket well, can feel and evade pressure. Can make plays with his feet. Has good arm strength. Seems to have everything you want other than be 2" taller and 20 lbs heavier.  But his size is plenty sufficient. From his interviews he seems smart and confident. To me the risk on him not panning out is much lower than any QB we have brought in, as far as i can remember.

Will he be ready to be productive as a true freshman though? We may see.  It comes down to the mental side of it and his confidence in the offensive play book and just his confidence in himself moving up a level.  Does he have that swagger and confidence as a true frosh? Does he feel like he can gain the respect of his team and be a leader of these men as a true frosh? is he mature enough for that? I'd guess he is and he will look pretty solid when he gets his opportunity.
