Things can go sour very quickly with a fan base. I think starting all the QBs down to QB#6 in succession would encourage a fan base more than the gaslighting regarding what we are seeing out of Collins. That being said, Collins looked more confident and decisive in the 4th Quarter. But that is a comparison to Collins Q1-Q3. And the results did not really show much though, in part because of penalties and missed penalties (PI). Crazy is the fact that anyone could see that Carney looked more comfortable than Collins... and he has yet to get 10 snaps in live game time. Collins seems like a guy that should be playing some other position... but because he can throw the ball 70 yards... he is being forced to play QB. Does he look like he enjoys playing the game any more than a cashier at Walmart? It looks like a job. Kind of like a 7'0 guy in basketball that really just wanted to be in the drama club or play the tuba...but because he is 7'0 he has to play basketball... all of the time with a look in his eyes envying us guys (that would rather have his height because we were centers trapped in the body more suitable to riding Secretariat). At this point, Collins is not a 4 TD, 2 INT guy... where you live by the sword/die by the sword. He is a 1 TD (especially if we get a short field at least twice), 3 INT guy. You cannot consistently (if ever) win games when you are guaranteed to lose the turnover battle every game. Coaches lose part of the fan base with every loss... and certainly every loss that shouldn't have happened. If Franklin beats UCLA or Northwestern, he still has a job. But they also lose it with stubbornness and--worse yet--lack of honesty. If Collins was the #1 QB out of spring, then we probably should have gotten 2 QBs in the portal... including a clear backup for Angeli. If Collins was not close to Angeli coming into the season, but Fran was saying that he was... do you think the players are learning appropriate life lessons regarding honesty?
