apologizes if already posted.

Louisville football player Kemari Averett was charged Tuesday with putting a gun to his girlfriend's head and threatening to kill her. The tight end was suspended from the team.

he 6-foot-7, 267-pound Averett has caught eight passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns in six games. Louisville is 2-5 and has a bye this week.

Stupid is as Stupid does at a dirty school, for me they rank #1 in the disliked column

I rank them like this...

1 - Ped State
1a - Louisville

I don't like threads like this. The behavior of one player does not justify painting a school with a broad brush. Athletes do bad things at every school, including SU. I've been around, and we don't like it when we're the fish in the barrel.

I agree that Petrino is a dirt bag, and I agree that Ped State as an institution engaged in a cover-up.

But I don't agree that the actions of a clearly-troubled person reflects disproportionately on the school itself.

Agree 100%, it's just dumb

I agree. In the case of Penn State, I don't believe that there is anyone involved in the cover-up, including a majority of their Board of Trustees who is still at the University.

Eh, if we want to generalize, I think the bulk of the headline-grabbing gun crime involving athletes comes from a small number of SEC and SEC-lite schools, mainly in the south. Not so much at Syracuse or Northwestern or Boston College. Nothing wrong with pointing that out, and I'm not at all opposed to painting the Louisvilles of the world with a broad brush when this kind of thing happens.
