Obviously it's late in the season blah blah, but yesterday didn't work... Cooney rarely works. Worth a shot for a few minutes in the first half.

He's closer to a 3 then a 5, right now at least.

People will say we don't have enough ball handlers with a lineup of G, richardson, Lydon, roberson, and coleman, and I agree, but that is our best rebounding lineup. I wouldn't play it against smaller teams, or really high ball pressure teams like UL, but against pitt could be useful.

Unfortunately we will have cooney play close to 40 minutes and likely get out rebounded.

Would LOVE to see more of: Gbinije, Richardson, Lydon, Roberson, Coleman and

Howard, Richardson, Gbinije, Lydon, Coleman.

More time with an actual PG and/or an actual Center on the floor. Less Cooney. I realize we are limited by Coleman's foul trouble and how many minutes he can handle.

Huh? Are you suggesting Lydon replace Cooney (at the 2)?
It would be an interesting experiment, but Lydon would be unable to guard Pitt's smaller, quicker guards (Robinson, Wilson, Smith). Plus we need his size up front against Pitt.

Huh? He's suggesting richardson plays the 2. You know...his actual position.

Lyndon will not get any onen looks at the three. He will be guarded by more athletic players. When he plays against 4 & 5's , he has an advantage. He loses that at the three. He's starting to put the ball on the floor and he will have a difficult time doing that at the three.

Thanks, but I still don't get that from the post.

What do you mean guard? Cooney doesn't guard anybody. He guards a 2-3 foot radius around his area in the zone and if you spot up outside of that or dribble past that, you get a wide open shot.

Not advocating for Lydon at the 2, although I think the topic is Lydon at 3 but in terms of guarding, Cooney doesn't guard anyone and it's a huge problem.

Exactly. Right now Lydon gets wide open looks cause the other teams bigs don't typically chase to the 3 point line. He never takes a 3 coming around a screen or dribbling for an open look. It would be a completely different game for him.

That was your grandfathers zone. That's nothing how we play zone.
