Not rooting against him, just giving my own evaluation. I watch a lot of NBA and these players are freaks of nature. The interior guys are huge, strong, quick and athletic. I'm not sure who Lydon's going to be able to guard? Can't see him projecting as a high level rebounder or shot blocker against the talent in the league. Serviceable, maybe, but these aren't skills that I think will carry over at a high level. His one supposed PLUS level NBA skill is shooting from the perimeter, but he could barely hit the broad side of a barn for the last month and half of the season (only made 9 of his last 35 attempts from three to close out the year), and for every three point attempt he takes, he passes up 2 more decent looks. He's not going to be more open in the pros, and much of the time the guy guarding him is going to be bigger, quicker, longer, and have faster close-out speed. Do scouts really want to draft shooters that don't want to shoot? I'm expecting him to go in the last 5 picks of the first round or somewhere in the early second. All that said, he's like Ennis in that I don't really see an avenue for him to improve his stock, so he should go if he has any shot to make it in the first round this year. Again, I'm not rooting for him to fail, just giving an honest assessment. I want him to excel because every SU kid that does well in the NBA helps SU recruit in the future. [/QUOTE]
