OJ Mayo had all the hype. Was a freshman and went ahead of Westbrook in the draft.

Him declaring got him paid but did he develop into anything more than just an slightly above average player?

This draft system is a joke. I don't blame players for leaving and getting paid. I have a problem with the draft becoming the baseball draft. Where in baseball draft picks take years to develop into pros. It shouldn't be like that for the NBA.

Teams are obsessed with age. Take a 20 year who can help you get better than a freshman who will take 2 years to be decent.

James Young perfect example my team the Celtics took him 16th in 2014. He is in his 3rd year now and still isn't ready. Celtics have paid for his development and when he is a FA he still won't be anything more than at best a 2nd team unit guy. I hate  this pick he has done nothing to help the team and they used a mid first round pick on him. I don't blame the kid for leaving school and taking the money I hate the Celtics gambled on a stupid pick.

Every team is obsessed with finding the next Greek Freak. Well their aren't many Greek freaks out their taken . Unless my team really sucks I want players drafted who can help you win games.
