I say that with the caveat and assumption that machinations for the new coach search are underway now in the AD's office and with whatever 3rd-party search firm that's been engaged on the D/L and working-up the list and engaging HC agent communications, etc. No quality HC is going to discuss publicly a move during the season (but you can bet that their agent will discuss it with shopping programs under NDAs and backchannel with their client on the DL...)

If that is not happening and we are going to wait until our new Chancellor situation is sorted out before we even talk to HC agents and/or targets... and we aren't prepared to strike while the iron is hot at the season's end, that will be VERY unfortunate.

I'll be honest, I am worried, as recent history has shown we make successive and compounding bad decisions with the basketball program. The chancellor situation could be another barrier to handling this next hire properly and efficiently. I really hope we have our ducks lined-up on this though, and knock it out of the park with this next hire.
