Just to clarify something.

Changing the Dome to be more updated, modern is entirely ok, even though it is not the same as during the Coach Mac days. But changing the uniform is off limits.

Yes those are completely comparable things. If you notice most of the uniform bitching is relegated to the numbers, which suck, and this week's choice to wear zero Orange, but keep bitching about people bitching.

Maybe everyone at Shafer's next school will love the uniforms the team wears.

I guess maybe he's saying the uniforms are modernized but everyone hates them, but we all like the idea of the Dome being modernized so we're just pick and choose modernizers?

Unlike the guy who knows all our players based on height and weight, I'm one of those casual fans that needs to read a number. It's hard to read our numbers. Because our numbers are dumb. The font, the color on color, it's all bad. I'm a little surprised that the players, who want recognition, don't think the same thing, instead of chalking it up to bad announcers who didn't do research saying the wrong name on a TV broadcast.

I won't touch the color scheme thing though, because, like you, everyone will think I just hate the troops.

It's about tradition and branding.

The uniforms are cool in a vacuum but they aren't Syracuse Football - they now look like everybody else's uniforms.

Yeah, they are cool. I have to ask the guy next to me who made the play and he doesn't know either. Then the PA says the player's name and you can't hear it. Beers good!
