Syracuse scores four individual wins at Marc Deneault Invitational
Syracuse closed out the indoor regular season strong, as it racked up four individual wins at the Marc Deneault Invitational.
Eunice Boateng won the women’s 60-meter dash, finishing with a time of 7.64 seconds.
Aviana Goode also won the high jump with a peak height of 1.71 meters.
The Orange also had two runners finish in the top-five in the women’s mile. Kelsey Potts (5:17.30) and Ryley Higgins (5:17.48) finished third and fifth, respectively.
In the women’s 3000-meter dash, Emma Wilson finished third with a time of 10:12.77.
On the men’s side, standout performances came in the mile and 60-meter hurdles. In the mile, Joseph Eovaldi (4:24.09) finished first, while Josh Flannery (4:25.65) placed fourth.
Richard Floyd won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.99 seconds, while Andrew Aguilera (8.22) finished second.
In the men’s 60-meter dash, Chris Tucker (6.92) and Chuka Soronnadi (7.18) placed second and fourth, respectively.
Up next for SU is a trip to Virginia Tech for the ACC Championships, as The Orange will compete from Thursday through Saturday in Blacksburg.
