Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in 2014-2019 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers: Syracuse March Weather 2019 - AccuWeather Forecast for NY 13202 The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it. Accuweather had us in the 30’s and 40’s every day but 3 after March 2nd in their advance forecast. Instead we got a huge dive in the first full week of the month all the way to teens and we didn’t hit 40 until the 10th. We’ve been in the 30’s seven times since then. The temperature got to 63 degrees briefly on March 28. We had 8 inches of snow three days later. The local baseball season opened today in 40 degree weather. I think we are all ready for some legitimately warm weather, even though it won’t become consistently warm until at least mid-May. The 60’s are predicted again for the weekend but Accuweather has us sliding back down into the 40’s my mid-week. It will be along slow climb back to the 50’s, then the 60’s by the last week of the month. They have us hit 70, (exactly) for the first time on May 3rd. 2019 Month by Month January -49 12-18-1 February +9 12-15-1 March -58 13-18 Marches: 2014 -261 7-24-0 2015 -217 7-24-0 2016 +223 22-9-0 2017 -165 9-21-1 2018 -177 5-26-0 2019 -52 13-18-0
