just got home from work and turned into the Tenn vs S Carolina game. first play i watch, a run to the left, and bam...helmet to right knee. (tore acl in left last yr) it was ugly...looks to be a complete dislocation, tears, etc. feel sick for the kid, career ender im def thinking.
 
wasn't lattimore a tennesee commit once,if so,paybacks...
 
Ugly and sad. Just devastating injury. Injuries are a part of the game but no player should have to deal with an injury like that. I hope he doesn't suffer permanent damage to his leg.
 
That was a nasty nasty injury. His foot was pointing the wrong way when his leg was "straight". His knee was out of the socket and when they straightened his leg it popped back in. One of the nastier injuries I've seen in football.
 
That is awful, and he is a senior, he could have gone last year. The prototypical worst thing that could happen, happened.
I would think he is insured against this kind of thing and worst case will get a couple $$million payout. I hope they thought ahead that far.

I believe that he is a true junior this year and thus wouldn't be eligible for draft until after this season

correct.

and he ended his season last year with a torn acl. even if he was a jr last year, he would have been advised to come back for his sr year.
 
Just watched it...kind of wish I hadn't. That might've been worse than the Willis McGahee injury. I feel terrible for him.
 
If that isn't a career ender I'll be shocked. Tough break for the kid.
 
They were comparing it to Willis McGahee's injury. I hope Marcus can come back as Willis did.

Payback for what? Liking one school over another. That's a little harsh. I feel really bad for him. That's potentially a life-altering event at a very young age. Too bad. Football is a tough business for anyone trying to make a living in it.

i do too, but i think this injury may be on another level. i had just put my first bite of lunch into my mouth and had to spit it back out when i was watching the game. i noticed it right away before the announcers knew what was going on. prayers for the kid.
 
Poor kid. I'm definitely not watching. Mcgahee and Shaun Livingston is enough for me.
 
Certainly a financially devastating injury, but I don't know if we can ever truly say something like that is career ending given medical advances.
 
Someday I'm going to stop watching football. I love it but its too violent.

I hope they hit Daniels early and often tonight. I'll sort out the hypocrisy years from now
