So my Bffffff had a try out with the Toronto Argonauts and after the try out he calls me up to let me know how it went. Anyways, he's not a SU fan but he knows I am and he tells me that Marcus Sales was at the try out. He told me Marcus is wayyy out of shape and has a bit of a "belly". My friend told me his forty was very slow and the rest of his tangibles were far from impressive. He also said another Cuse receiver was there too, after describing what this receiver looked like I came to the conclusion it was Chris Clark. Had a lot more positives to say about Clark. Anyways, I tried to explain to my friend that Sales has always been more of a game then a practice player (who would impress at a try out) and he said he was still shocked he could play at Cuse.

Honestly though, while I'm kinda surprised I'm not totally shocked. He was always in Marrones dog house and I guess this is why, he's lazy.

Sorry if there is any spelling errors it's been a long day and my phone is moving slow and lagging. So I'm not gonna spell check and proof read.

Hopefully Marcus reflects on the performance and finally improves his work ethic. Hate to see this, but he dogged it in college, so not all that surprising.

I agree. Hopefully this is a reality check.

My son-in-law plays in a basketball league at the Liverpool YMCA on Sundays. Happened to go watch him play last week and one of the players on the other team had a Syracuse Football t-shirt on. Asked a couple of people who it was and they told me it was Marcus Sales. He definitely was in no where near football shape or any great shape for that matter. Don't know what he is doing, but getting in shape to play football doesn't appear to be a part of a plan right now.

Let's face it. The kid could easily be in prison right now, his brother took the heat for him, that kept him out of jail and got him back on the team. Really hope he gets his act together, really talented kid

Marcus was an integral part of SU's resurgence, I hope he does well, regardless of his work ethic.

Same. Unfortunately though, the further you go into your 20's (and beyond) the more your success depends on work ethic than natural talents and abilities. Hopefully he can get things on track.
