Could Dolezaj's career progression resemble Damone Browns? They were both rail thin coming into SU, each about 6'9, 180. Damone developed into an excellent mid range player and crafty finisher around the hoop, getting a little better each year until he was an All-Big East player as a senior.

I don't think Marek will ever be quite the athlete that Damone was, but I think there are a lot of similarities in their games.

Many may not agree but MD will end up being an excellent player. in a few years. He has a knack for the game, can hit the short range shot, is scrappy as hell..and once JB makes him part of some offensive plays..with confidence he will be outstanding. Not a superstar but an 11-13 ppg, solid player that adds more to the game than the stats show.

Depends on Dolezaj's physical development. When recruited as a high school junior, Lydon was as rail thin as Dolezaj now -- 6 ft 8 and under 180. Lydon added 10 lbs or so each year, and his game evolved.

We have had players who were physically mature as true frosh -- Triche, Harris, Battle are examples. And we have had several at the other extreme -- Andy Rautins, Damone Brown, Demetrius Nichols, and Tyler Roberson.

When Dolezaj adds 20 lbs, and develops his mid-range shot, he will be a very effective player for us.
