Nunes, to some, is some sort of SU folk hero. They say he was thrust into the QB role out of desperation created by injuries to and failings of others and by recruiting "whiffs" on big time QB recruits. They insist he wasn't as bad as many thought. And that his statistics bear that out.
 
Unfortunately for me I watched many of those Troy Nunes efforts.
 
Troy Nunes, In my opinion, given his size and talent level and football acumen got more out of SU football than he had any right to expect and more than any player I can think of. He lucked into a starting job based on what happened to others and what others did. And he played "Big Time" college football at the QB position, a dream to many.
 
So rather than take his fortunate experience and steal into the night, he's now criticizing the current staff for not paying enough attention to him?
 
Someone ought to send Troy a video with some clips of him running full-speed away from the line of scrimmage back to the 50 yd line out of field goal range. Or throwing the ball into the hands of two BC linemen at their own goal line.
