he comes up in TMQ and Grantland today for the pvssy punt and for challenging a fumble that the pats recovered at the spot of the fumble.

he could've stayed in college where there are too many teams for anyone besides their own fans to notice anything

Marrone has shown that he's a guy who's not afraid to learn from his mistakes and change.

For example last season after the decision to attempt the long FG on 4th and 3 against Cincinnati he decided to go for it in the same situations against Louisville and Mizzou.

I don't care about the challenge. That was an obvious miscommunication. The 4th down punt pissed me off. Maybe if he gets some heat for it this week he'll realize how dumb that decision is and won't do it anymore.

Links or it didn't happen

I actually thought the Bills looked decent, but very much like the Syracuse teams of the past four years. Awful, back-breaking penalties (12 men on the field? C'mon), questionable punting decisions and blaming himself after the loss ("I need to do a better job." No kidding Doug). But outside of that, enough grit and toughness to hang with virtually anyone.

Unfortunately for him, "hanging with anyone" isn't going to cut it in the NFL. Many of the gaffes that I have seen over his 3+ years as a head coach are still rearing their head.

TMQ is also bashing Kiffin's grad rates when he hasn't been at USC long enough (6 years) to have a number associated with his tenure. Lane has enough to criticize without making stuff up.

I for one am looking forward to when the Bills TURN THE CORNER.

What do you mean, the poor guy was practically driven out of town by the insatiable bloodlust of the CNY media!

I thought Marrone did a helluva job in his 1st game as a Head Coach of the whipping boy Buffalo Bills.

He almost beat Belichek and Brady, not too bad...
